Why do some websites like Craig's list look like it was made 15 years ago?

If it works, don't change it. Look at reddit.

I actually prefer simpler websites. One doesn't need a boatload of styling to display a simple paragraph. Actually, I rather appreciate how Google has progressed. Tiny changes here and there, so it looks modern without being overburdensome.
