Well I hate the status feature because I use WhatsApp to Chat rather then showing people what I am doing. I always tried to stay as far away from things like snapchat. But now they force me to have it on my phone (talking about the status update).
And the worse part is that I can't move to.. Let's say Google Allo because everyone sticks to WhatsApp.

And this happen all the fucking time. When the double-check turned blue and in almost all major improvement they've made
