It just scans any executable file it doesn't know ;)

At least it's only scanning it. Once I had a C exercise, which I was making, flagged as a virus

Back when I used to use Norton it used to immediately quarantine every executable file I created... No way of switching it off either...

Eventually I had to omit the folder from real time protection which I didn't want to do.
