I bought a new laptop literally the day before everyone found out about Windows 11.

Here’s hoping Dell is nice enough to ship with Windows 11 anyway.

Still, I’m planning on dual-booting so it’s not that big a deal

Windows 11 is not yet officially released

It will auto-update anyway, whether you want it or not.

@Fast-Nop What? Then its not for me :(

@Fast-Nop I thought windows only did that for minor version upgrades, not entirely new operating systems

@10Dev Sure that it doesn't do that when the major version EOLs?

@Fast-Nop I haven’t used windows as a daily driver in maybe 8 years, not since windows 7. I’ve been kinda out of the loop on Microsoft’s bullshit. Those assholes better not be forcing entirely new operating systems on people through auto updates

@10Dev I liked Win 7, but refused anything after that. First by staying on 7, then by switching to Mint.

I see the Windows BS only on my company PC, and they give me money to work with that crap.

    Eeeeee, fuck windows

@dontbeevil That's because the switching options under Windows are limited to "dump Windows".

@Demolishun Wouldn't that rather be an antivirus, given the malware-like tactics that MS used to fool people into upgrading to Win 10 back then?
