What is your main responsibility as a Senior Engineer? Let say Senior software engineer or Senior Devops or Senior Data Engineer?

    I mainly do reviews / advices and talks with différents "new" Lead devs to think about data and app structure / architecture..
    Basically I help everyone to code better and to start their projects in the right direction

    Complaining if the font size is too small for seniors.

    Scream at people who fuck up, mainly devs, sometimes PM’s.

    But in a “I really like you and care a lot so that’s why I scream, hey how about a beer after that?” type of way.

    Know how to solve common problems ahead of time, make flexible code that will still work if things change, prevent technical debt, avoid pitfalls, introduce fewer bugs.

    In general, write better code and write it faster.
