You are still right cursing Salesforce and everything in that damn ecosystem though.

sariel85344ySalesforce is a fucking nightmare. Just... don't.
Anyone who's got a company that's looking to use Salesforce, ask these questions.
"How long until lighting is feature equivalent to the legacy system?"
"How long has lighting been in development?"
"When do you expect to have lighting officially released?"
The joke here is the answer to all these is the same, "I'll have to get back to you on that after talking to the product team."
Lighting is never going to be finished. The API is fucking broken. The product is shit.
I give it 10 more years before a major databreach finally caps this fail-whale of a company. -
@sariel huh? Really is it that bad? Beyond frustrations, I have not faced any serious issues. The current project I’m on, is for a F100 client who has a 10+ year product roadmap for the product. I’d assume that they took these into account before choosing to use Salesforce.

sariel85344y@bizAnalyst someone got their bonus.
When it comes to developing against their solutions it's a nightmare. If you're a dedicated vendor it's a nightmare.
If you're a F100 company that can afford to hire a permanent vendor for support, you will be fine.
Their API is undocumented, fragmented, and just broken.
Their user account control and permissions depend on that API to work, so it's just as broken.
If you can do it in the dev console from the UI that does not mean you can do it from their API(no matter how much they say you can).
God speed sir, and may Turing have mercy on your soul. -
mundo0349793y@sariel the company I work for is getting Salesforce, I was pitching SuiteCRM but our COO though a bigger co.pany and a more expensive product is better because yes.
I will have to sync data from salesforce to other places and I have done that with their API but it is ridiculously complex.
I know am planning on getting mulesoft for that instead, mainly to avoid their stupid API.
