SVG In HTML. No, there is no better format than SVG.
That’s peak imaging. Unless you want to have thousands of variants for every possible screen. -

Depending on what exactly you're trying to do, using SVG (in HTML/CSS) can be the best option, then it depends on whether you're reading an SVG file as an image or embedded object or have the SVG code in the HTML (all of which have different trade-offs).

I don't know if it's "good" or "best practice", but personally I find it very pleasant and good.
Specially knowing that you can animate any part you want
