hjk10157314yWell on a fresh Windows install most things run speedy (fresh not a bloated OEM build). At least with that hardware it's a bit harder to slow things down over the years...

@NoToJavaScript Shhh, there's no shame in it... We won't judge you for your herecy.

While you probably have a lot of idle Hyperthreads on that Ryzen 9 while playing Factorio (although it actually does use some multithreading) - i can assure you, that it definitely was a good idea to go for maximum single-thread CPU performance.
You will be able to build bigger bases before dropping UPS on the Ryzen 9 than on a lower tier with same clock frequency range.
Having any non-integrated GPU also is a good thing for Factorio, as it absolutely can get FPS limited by integrated GPUs (it uses insane amounts of sprites for almost everything).
OpenTTD on the other hand would probably also perform well on a RaspberryPi... -
Same here, just with Sunless Seas.
Who cares if it doesn't use 100 percent of your hardware? Just have fun. -
purist12164yI am pretty surprised that i am not only one in the world who still plays OpenTTD. OpenTTD would perform good on a pentium PC tho..😂
