I wrote an app that tells me if a lottery ticket is winning. It takes a picture of the ticket, does OCR, finds the number lines and compares them with a remote json.
I live next door to a lottery shop.

    I play the lottery online. Automatically paid by direct debit, emails me if I win. (Last year I won £25 2 weeks in a row, never anything big.)

    @Maxeh I wanted to release the app, but the OCR results were full of false positives, seemed dangerous :)
