"Where do new ideas come from? The answer is simple: differences. Creativity comes from unlikely juxtapositions." - Nicholas Negroponte

My first time seeing the word "juxtapositions". Dictionary defines it as:

"The act or an instance of juxtaposing or the state of being juxtaposed."

    I learned a lot today.

Juxtaposition? That sure is a weird way to spell "alcohol and drugs", but you do you.

@ilPinguino You gotta juxtapose them for maximum effect.

@rantsauce It's just a fancy way to say "put things on top of other things", be it material or immaterial things, like books or ideas.

@pipe Okay then, I'm gonna juxtapose a joint on a couple beers then. 🍻

@ilPinguino I got the joints, send me some beer please. Maibock will do.

A juxtaposition positions two things close to each other, but they have a different in meaning or can even be opposites

"All's fair in love and war" is a common literature example.

Love is a stark contrast to war - but the two words love / war are placed close together.
