Best part is when you call them, update the number but it doesnt propagate correctly throughout their system leading to certain parts using your old cell

@electrineer moving. I had a similar issue when I moved and got a new number with my local area code. Kept the old number for four years by transferring it to Google voice. Eventually I got rid of it, and a year later I realized it was still set as the 2FA for an old email account I rarely log into. That account is basically dead because I don't have the recovery codes any more either.
I bet those shits at Paypal sure felt smart when they implemented their 2-factor authentication, not realising that phone numbers can change. It's not a fucking SSN assigned at birth, you geniuses.
And when you click on the help link the amazing tip they give you is "login and make sure your phone number is correct". DID YOU EVEN READ THE HORSESHIT YOU WROTE THERE?
