I know the old g3 had the cpu mounted as an extention card - but they also came with a cpu block and fan.
How slow that thing has to be to not need active cooling???

EISA slots! I see EISA slots on that thing, at least two of them! Oh man, where's my original SoundBlaster card when I need it?

That takes me right back to my very first job, building and supporting systems that looked exactly like that, filled with SIMMs and token ring cards and Quantum Fireballs aplenty. I remember unwrapping our first batch of 100 MHz FSB mainboards, the boss and I just stared at them for an hour and talked about how they'd probably power our first interplanetary spacecraft and other stuff we couldn't even imagine yet.

Now I'm old enough to know that the tech was shit then just as it still is now, but man do I miss that feeling of awe and the ability to dream earnestly of brighter futures.
