I'm happy with Flokinet. They were among the pretty early ones to slap on Let's Encrypt automatically and for free (shared hosting). They have private whois if you let handle them the registration. And they offer a pre-paid funding in your account so that you can never forget to pay the bills.
You can have shared hosting, VPS, or dedicated. The latter two give you more control, but system administration is on you. Hosting can be in Iceland, EU (Finland, Romania), or TOR (shared hosting only).
Support is fine. I think they even have that via phone, but I only use the web interface for contact in writing because that's more efficient for everyone.
However, I don't see Codeigniter in Cpanel, so you'd have to figure out how to install that.
Keep in mind that adult content, even regular one, is not allowed to be hosted in Iceland. Controlled substances, weapons, and copyright violations are illegal also in Iceland. -
you don't install frameworks on cpanel. You can zip and app built with it and drop it there tho

@Fast-Nop ah mlst definitely. But mean in terms of that showing in cpanel as an item.

@Fast-Nop "Keep in mind that adult content, even regular one, is not allowed to be hosted in Iceland. Controlled substances, weapons, and copyright violations are illegal also in Iceland."
Oh I'm not doing anything nearly illegal as that.
Just using my speech. Speech as you understand can be pretty dangerous.
Thats why it has to be banned /s.
Hence Iceland. -
D3adCode14ytry getting a VPS (digitalocean.com / vultr.com / linode...) it gives you more control, it's cheap and more secure than shared hosting

I'm not at all familiar with PHP and icelandic hosts.
Does anyone have experience with FlokiNet?
FN supports PHP. But do they support codeigniter out of the box?
I'm a complete newb so I don't even know if I'm asking the right questions.
I want to try something different and what I'm building can't be based in the U.S. And theres not a lot of python hosts outside the U.S. that I'm immediately aware of.
And the ones that are all appear to be hosted in AWS, and I refuse to feed the beast.
