How will the online education affect the value of university diplomas?

dedicated people will learn from wherever possible, though university doesn't guarantee competence, it's less risky to hire graduates, interview can't test everything, there is always some risk, companies want least possible risk.

This won't change, and shouldn't.

Some degrees (at least here in England) seems to have lost a bit of value as they became online courses.
But I highly doubt (maybe except for Open University) that online education will affect the value of uni degrees.

University is mostly about self-studying anyway so it shouldn't matter.
