It took me eleven months of working from home to investigate renting a coworking space. Eleven wasted months! The coworking office is TOTALLY worth every USD.

    No, some local real estate company.

    Reasonable prices?

    The local wework and aspiring weworks in my area were BONKERS expensive.

    I'm sure the amenities were nice but damn....

    It's expensive enough to make me think about it. About $650 US, per month. That gets me a lockable office of my own, unmetered symmetric fiber internet, full use of a nice, commercial kitchen and bathrooms, some free printing(15 pages/mo), a mailbox, and some more benefits that don't come immediately to mind.

    It's a lot, but it's a lot less than the increase in rent it would take to get a place to live where I can have a private office that my kids (4 and 2) can't wreck and disturb me. Also, I can claim the entire expense on my taxes next year.

    I was checking out your old rants... just bought crosscode. Have you played Hyper Light Drifter?

    @87percentrum

    I have it and I've played it, but I definitely haven't given it the time it deserves. I hope you're enjoying Crosscode. Definitely one of my favorites in recent memory.

    @bahua That's not terrible for a full office.

    I've seen "a desk" for hell of a lot more than 650 at times. Some of these places are bonkers crazy.

    @bahua that seems nuts to me because where I am an extra $650/month in mortgage could add 2 bedrooms and double square footage.

    Colorado ain't cheap. And it's exacerbated by historically low housing inventory.
