Using Linux terminal on Android smartphone

Who would do this?? 😂 😂 😂. This only works in watch dogs 2

@linuxer4fun nope, there are multiple options that I use
    Termux is great
You can install a Linux chroot using Linux deploy
Or you can go full watch dogs and get kali chroot via nethunter like I did

@n1had yeah, but it's not as confortable to use as in wDogs2, where he just takes his phone out and runs a script xD LEL

    Buy a Bluetooth keyboard...

@linuxer4fun yeah, maybe I should work on a similar app 😂

@n1had This will "out" your users as SKiddie... Be proud of yourself, you found out, how to test that xD

Sometimes I felt like I should get an Android phone just to be able to do stuff like that, but on the other hand it takes 15 seconds to boot my Linux laptop...

Termux blew my mind. It's just a terminal but damn that gave me some serious pleasure. Hooked up my bt keyboard and wrote a small C program. I hardly ever use it but it just feels amazing having it there just in case...

@thecritic yeah... BUT don't get a SKiddie ;-) You'd be a disgrace for us, programmers xD

@linuxer4fun I'd rather jump off a cliff than being (called) a script kiddie lol

    Still usable 😂

If you have to do that it means you're an admin that has serious network/db responsibilities, which typically is not good. But it could also mean you work at a small company.

@thecritic i get called it... :( just because I once used a skript, as I was too lazy to write the entire 3000 Lines-.-
  • 2
@linuxer4fun Fully understanding the code doesn't make you a script kiddie. It's just the stupid cunts that don't have a clue what's going on at all in the code.

@n1had tried 72738 times to root my Asus phone, and couldn't do it
I wish I have Linux deploy working =p
Now only Termux is the solution

@OrestH Asus phones kinda suck tbh, rooting my nexus 5 was as easy as pie
  • 0
@OrestH btw is it only me or does termux hog a battery like there is no tomorrow?
  • 0
@n1had it consumes a lot, but my battery is good, so 100 charge is enough for the whole day
  • 0
@n1had yeah, nexus is rooting dream) there is a modification by offensive security for it)) you become almost Aiden Pearce)
But for script kiddies this modification is useless = D

@OrestH my Nexus 5 battery is kinda small for me to use termux without being overflown with anxiety
I use a chrooted Debian through terminal emulator, which doesn't consume as much battery and give me a full Debian armhf repo (instead of the small-ish termux repo)
I recommend you give rooting your phone another go, good luck

@n1had i'd like to use Kali or Arch on Deploy, but all rooting methods don't work)) I wish su copy could work on my Termux, but it doesn't
Actually, for programming and ssh-ing I don't need rooting, but for fun it is really cool)
