nebula18704yit will be one hell of a ride for your brain insteas of your body xD
(please do not forget to watch for your body though - sitting all day will hurt in the long run) -
It will be a lot more rewarding and fun but you've got to be way more careful about your form and body (speaking from experience having gone a similar path).

humility is a good mindset to have as a beginner. People know more than you and that's ok. Dont look at your co-workers as competitors but allies. Best of luck on your journey. 🙂

ZioCain27114yI think about switching to stacking boxes for a living everyday I'm too tired of programming...
But a good pay keeps me where I am -
Welcome to the club, you will eventually do physically demanding work because you enjoy exercising your body and letting your mind rest. I know I do.

@JKyll yeah, I spend most of my free time sitting so I'll need to replace the activity I get at my old job
-
@ZioCain hmm you just gotta find some expensive boxes to stack, rich people house moving maybe?
-
@heyheni yeah not to mention that this job has been "gifted" to me through connections... So I'm that guy who got in without prior experience. Looking forward to giving my best though and learning all I can.

congrats! please pace yourself and above all, take care of your mental and physical health. I've been at this for over 25 yrs and wish someone gave me that advice and mentored me when I needed it! with that said, find a good mentor!
I got a job. A job where I get to sit in front of a computer. I don't know what I'm doing yet... Developer is in the job title description. I'm scared. I'm excited. But most of all, I'm really glad that I get to stop stacking boxes for a living.
