    That dog really is a cross dresser though. There certainly exist a lot of humans who would miscategorize it too.

    And at least it isn't a turtle categorized as a light assault rifle this time...

    I would expect it to cause a lot of confusion.
    Currently, no one seems to train ANNs to detect when something is _not_ what is searched for.

    The common human NN does not only try to detect tigers. It also tries to detect non-tigers. And it knows a lot of other things that are non-tigers and which might get detected with more confidence than a tiger.
    But that does not mean, that you can't have an ANN sort-of-reliably detecting the type of feline when you only show it felines or the race of a dog when you only show it dogs.

    The limits are neuron count, training time and amount of diverse training and test material.
    Human NNs contain insane amounts of neurons and get trained for years with insane amounts of data...
    And look at QAnon to see how bad their bullshit detection can still be.
