They either want to embed video or forms directly into emails.

Sad thing is it's only been like 4 months since the last time I told them they cannot embed video or forms directly into emails because that's now how email works.

    Marketing idea, there's an oxymoron!

Also: "But it's just a button"

@HiFiWiFiSciFi thank god it didn't become reality for emails yet.

It’s not like it’s completely unrealistic, though.
Just look at PDF. If I didn’t know it and somebody would tell me that you can have interactive 3D content and forms in a file format for printable documents, I would spit out my coffee laughing out loudly. But here we are. Crazy land.

    Wait, your marketing have ideas?

Mine have "but we have already agreed on this and promised our entire customer base this will exist on <insert date>"

I'm I'm still sitting here trying to work what "it" even is as it's the first I'm hearing about it 3 days away from launch.

Maybe deploying a major update that crashes the entire system, compromising data security and leading to significant downtime.

Was it an over-the-top rebrand? A cringe-worthy ad campaign? Or maybe some genius plan to "go viral" that completely backfired? Marketing teams can be hit or miss, and sometimes their big ideas crash harder than expected.
