    @SuspiciousBug I've been there on the support side when a customer's data was deleted, and our infrastructure team discovered that backups had been failing. Of course, being a lowly support guy at the time, I had to be the one to tell a customer why our company had not met our SLA, and why the latest backup we had was from months ago. Glad I don't deal directly with customers anymore...

    Sometimes it's the best thing you can do to make the data accurate again.

    The fix can be a messy and tiring process though.

    I think SQL could really use an UNDO statement for times like these. 🤔

    Or perhaps one should absolutely just simply ALWAYS back up the db as much as is practically possible. 👀
