    If you go deeper in that cave you will find that its actually a random forest originating from the top of the mountain

    Upside down !!!!

    Where do you fall if you walk out of that cave ?

    @r20408e122449d on your head, of course.
    😀

    @Oktokolo should it be the graviton discovery centre? :d soz. Being pedantic
  • 2
    @bashleigh
    They aren't trying to discover the graviton - that already has been achieved by He Xiantu in 2022.
    The DARPA Graviton Research Center obviously researches practical uses in weoponry and propulsion to get an edge in the eurasian war.

    That's Australia

    @Oktokolo oh I see. Well it can only ever exist if it’s measured so if we haven’t measured it, it both does and doesn’t exist at the same time 🤔 so it does and doesn’t exist in 2022

    @bashleigh
    Measurement isn't defining whether it exists. It "just" makes the wavefunction collapse into a single set of properties.
    So Schrodinger's cat definitely exists - we just force the decision between life and death by opening the box...

    @Oktokolo well I understood that completely wrong then 😂 damn YouTube

    @bashleigh
    As far as is known, nobody understands it completely right either. So no worries.
    And at the end its all implementation details of the universe engine anyways.
    Maybe, that optimization artifact gets fixed and we suddenly have fully deterministic physics while uncertaincy-based tech like quantum computers and quantum crypto stops working...

    @Oktokolo or simply disappear 😱😱😱😱😱
  • 1
    @bashleigh
    Nah, it wouldn't disappear.
    Increased determinism might have side effects regarding the fitness of life in not perfectly matching environments.
    But as we are perfectly adapted to our environment and we definitely aren't changing it at all, i see no reason to worry about that either...
