I sometimes think back to that asshole on stackoverflow that said "op wants a solution like that" after I, the op, told him I don't like that solution.

There's a huge issue on SO with communication.

Like folks eager to stick their square block in the OPs round hole and so on.

The helpfulness is nice, but technically correct and technically does the thing wins the day sadly.
