Is it worse that the one in Netbeans?

@milkbytes Infinite times worse. NetBeans at least lends you a hand. I can't wait to be done with this, I feel like an archaeologist more than a programmer using this tech.

The netbeans one is only good until you see the code it generates

Having no choice is an illusion!

Put up the GUI you have to work on, with a GUI-Framework of your choice in your spare time.
When you're done and happy about your solution, do a little presentation for your bosses and convince 'em to migrate on that framework.
