Let's have a thread for embarrassing new years stories!

Not embarrassing but win:
Me and three friends formed two teams and did challenges. My team (referred to as we from now on) was going great and the other team had set something up for the last challenge that they are really good at and thought we weren't so much. Both teams had to make a begin fire (which you can build a bigger fire upon) with solely a spark making thingy and some cottons. After eight minutes that gave up because it wasn't working for them and they said jokingly "haha now you guys try :P". Their smiles turned into " well, fuck" faces when 20 seconds later, I got a fire up and running. I'll never forget those faces haha!
