Best way to self learn asp.Net mvc and wcf?

1. Close everything else and start now.
2. Start a project where you can use them.
3. Practice Practice and Practice...

What's your experience, I'd say learn c#

Project idea: Look at the way you do simple things now and see if there's an application you can create to make it easier. My example, I made a web application that kept track of my savings better than the spreadsheet I was using.
