How do I get started on freelancer.com or upwork ,with so much competition.any one got tips or tricks?

Write a good bio with experience and write cover response to each job you apply for.

Make the cover letter do the work, explain now what makes you better then the next guy but convey that you know exactly how to fix their problem, throw in some technicalities you see and how to fix them. If you come off like you really know their issue you will get selected.

Starting out you may have to charge less but this is just at the beginning wth now experience on the platform, people are always willing to gamble a little if the cheaper option seems solid.

Or you google for small and medium sized companies in europe with shity websites. And offer them your services. This way you don't have to strugle with the competition on upwork and freelancer and you can charge more.

Mechanical, logistics bussineses and restaurants as well hair dressers have usualy pretty bad websites.
