I don't like most of the people around me (programmers). I find most of them boring and with a really "flat" personality with no interests other than coding. I enjoy coding myself but sometimes I feel that I don't belong to this community. There is more in life than just your job.

    Well I think there are still a lot of interesting (in the fields other than coding) programmer out there. But you are just not in the right group. Programmers fundamentally no difference between general people, we tend to team up with the ones that share the same philosophy towards life. Some programmers like coding, it's more than a job, and more like a life. The others are like you, interested in various things in life such music, art, food, traveling.

    I think you can try to introduce exciting things to your boring teammates, or maybe considering find a new group of teammates. If you pay a little more attention while interviewing new jobs, I bet you can find the right group of programmers that fits your life philosophy.
