I would stare at them both for a few seconds and ask myself why I waste money on useless crap.

@RinseRepeat I was about to agree with you on the merits of these devices. I thought, "who would buy these when all you have to do is type..." but there could be people with disabilities who might find it more convenient to "Google" something by voice, maybe? I dunno. I think it'd be fun to come up with other funny things for the two to argue about, Abbot and Costello style. "THIRD BASE!" :)

@stackodev I can agree that voice assistants can be amazing for people with disabilities, but speaking as an Echo owner, that thing is useless. It doesn't hold state, so that's a big limitation right there, and it can't do much, whatever I ask it just says it doesn't know the answer. Can't say much about Google's one, never tried it, but I'm assuming that the assistant's on your phone can be better. Siri is much better than Alexa.

@Jumpshot44 yup. Just like those stupid Hatchimals that now sell for hundreds of dollars on the black market. Christmas is weird.

I would write bots to make them talk to each other about the calender trick. Or get bored while trying.

I'm curious. What would you as a developer do with an Amazon Echo and a Google Home sitting right next to each other?
