Well, it's still kind of good for security. But, can't you just flash a custom ROM with root?
-
SamDev982678y@KeyWeeUsr .. The bootloader is unlockable and so no Custom Rom can be flashed... And for root.. Ive searched all forums... No way to root it... Not even kingo root is working! Im so frustrated. It is good for security but the phone is capable of so much more...

zankar20758yAfaik there is cyanogenmod available for g4 but not for g-flex 2, which is basically exactly the same phone just the cpu is a slightly different model so there... I'm stuck with this stock lg ski... :/

boo19974048yAncient beliefs. But you do not necessarily need root for flashing custom ROMs.
If you can unlock the bootloader, flash a custom recovery, then flash a ROM. Ofcourse those recovery and ROM must be for your device. -
SamDev982678y@boo1997 Unfortunately the bootloader isnt unlockable... In my previous comment i made a mistake in saying that it is... (Just a silly typo) And ofcourse we dont need root to flash custom roms :/
Who else hates the fact that there's still no way to root or unlock lg g4 :(
