And slap every idiot who comes near to me again trying to convince me how Apple products are innovative. Every feature mentioned I had on my phone at least for 5years. And if not on my phone, Nexus or another Samsung had it already for a long time. Hell, Samsungs even started exploding sooner!

I agree. I just bought one of the new MacBook Pro's. I literally had to go down pros/cons comparing my 2014 model (still functioning well) to this new one. So much missing functionality in the new one I will greatly miss (sd card reader, HDMI, mag safe, etc.). Buying a new laptop (especially one titled "pro") shouldn't be like that IMO and shows a major, major problem in their product decisions.

There's only a single reason I bought another MacBook this time around, and that's because you pretty much have to have a Mac to develop iOS apps. I wonder how much that fact accounts for their sales. And if my girlfriend didn't badly need a laptop (I'm giving her my old one) then I would have continued to use my 2014 model.

@dfox most likely the next time they release an innovative product it won't be stripped off only of this stuff such as jack or sdcard reader, but they'll give you only a motherboard with a shiny packaging.

I've been comparing my 4 year old Nexus 4 to the new iPhone 7. There are so many features that it has that the iPhone does not.

@wbunton If you are not serious about iOS dev work (right now) then just buy a good PC and the cheapest Mac you can find or go with hackintosh.

@wbunton @nickpapoutsis yeah I agree, I think if you're not doing a lot of iOS development then a Mac Mini is a good option. I used to use one and for the price they definitely get the job done.

@wbunton I've also been very successful in running osx in a VM and doing my iOS work there.
