Today I woke up and my old Windows 7 desktop welcomed me with a fresh Windows 10 installation. I'm still trying to figure out who did it because it wasn't me or my wife. I only remember saying no multiple times to the upgrade request. At least I don't notice it being any slower.

    Eh Windows 10 isn't that bad. Not the greatest thing ever, but not that bad

    from what I heard, the red X at the top constituted agreement to the upgrade. I've heard a lot of people are getting the same surprise. sorry you woke up to a surprise.

    Unless you opted out..Windows forced upgrades. Sort of like that U2 album >.>

    @kibbles I kept closing the window that asked me to install it.

    @Jirehstudios you had to do a couple of steps. You couldn't just click out of it.

    I am now resetting it back to 7, the wireless usb antenna and office 2013 aren't working anymore and my wife uses this PC for work.

    @jirehstudios - after upgrade 7 -> 10 my laptop mouse scroll didn't work and no fixes available. reverted!

    They added a new update a week or two ago that just doesn't ask if you want it or not, just upgrades. There's a bunch of ways to fight it like never10, but that's hell of a dirty move from Microsoft to me... They're almost acting like 10 was malware they really want you to have :-P
