Subsidizing fuel prices in countries with lesser economic resources always seems to be a balancing act of trying to make transpiration and thus economic activity viable and ... managing the actual costs involved / viability to continue to do so.

But a 'it's cheaper there' comparison doesn't really do much if you don't examine why and what you're trying to do at home.
