Need advice, learnt HTML CSS and light JavaScript and abit of Jquery, moving to back end stuff now but what should I learn, been told python is great, but with node coming to JS has made it more popular..any(unbiased) help please?

It really depends on the application. For large business applications with a lot of data i would use java or especially the spring framework. But it does not make sense to use java for small applications so then you can use expressjs for node. There are also plenty of good PHP frameworks out there, I really like CakePHP. But I can't speak for python bc i never worked with it.
