PHP can be great when done correctly and I also use my editors light theme. Can't stand windows 10 but 8.1 was okay-ish.
-
@lotd The fact that you would have to work around it in itself is bad enough for me.
-
I ++'ed this post thinking it was sarcasm. Took it of again reading the replies, making me realise OP is serious.

ggromx4368yI do like the light theme..
But my monitor brightness is in its lowest setting.
I no longer use dark themes because alt tabbing to firefox (which starts in a blank page) was the equivalent to a flash bang to the face. -
Skipp23468y@LucaScorpion actually, almost everything has an "off" slider and there are easy registry tweaks for the rest.
Also, your phone (no matter if it's an android ir an iphone) tracks waaaay more stuff than MS could ever think of... yet no one nags about apple or google privacy. Somehow it's windows who's a problem yet you cant install a single app on the phone without giving it permissions to your left kidney.
Oh, yea. Php is awesome -
@Skipp Oh yeah I complain about google and android too :P I've stopped using google, Android is a bit harder to get rid of though...
<3 php -
@lotd It feels more fluid and the search function is not attached to a thing I have no reason to use. There is nothing to the right of the clock and I actually liked the charm menu.

lotd79228y@lkpridgeon I see.. Well that could be mentioned in that rant about how to improve Windows 10 :)

Can't stand non-statically typed languages. I think most JS/PHP/etc developers prefer them because they tried Java once and realized it was terrible, therefore assuming all statically typed languages were like that.
-
@Artemix Use to agree about JS all the way, but TypeScript makes it surprisingly manageable (still not enough to use it). That said, you still deal with all the nuances of JavaScript. 😕

BLASPHEMY!
Ye shall be thrown in /dev/null! 😂
... I'm joking! 😉 I like you guys, no matter the theme of your IDE or the language you're developing in, I still like you. #DevRantFamily 😀
I like PHP and I develop on Windows 10.
And I have a light theme on my text editor.
