@Hevlastka I think is Linus Torvalds. Rotfl. Bill and Melinda got the medal too. And Grace Hopper.

aquaman2139y@uddinstock that's a ton of code, fam. I remember reading that they used to keep them in binders. I wonder how big my companies codebase would be if I stacked it up like that aquaman2139y@uddinstock that's a ton of code, fam. I remember reading that they used to keep them in binders. @uddinstock I think it's the test protocols. They were some of the first to do massively automated tests so that things like that hitomi bug would not happen

IainVM4879yEvery time I'm reminded of her achievements I feel like I couldn't express enough respect for her. Plus the jealousy I have that she got to work with NASA on Apollo 11 it's all just amazing. She literally is the mother of software engineering , this was pre-software , pre-Os era when she wrote a piece of code that included priority scheduling (sort of) this helped astronaut to land on moon properly cause out of two important process that was running on AGC ( the landing process and Rf process) the landing process was preferred and was given more cpu time

The woman who helped develop software for the Apollo 11 was awarded a Medal of Freedom today.
