"Read-only Friday" rule: On Fridays, you don't deploy new versions, don't merge code into production, don't update databases, and a lot of others "DON'Ts"

And you get to enjoy every weekend! Nice.

Yep, that's just what we don't do... I've got at least a read-only MySQL prompt open almost every day. We've got a major launch coming up doing data migration during the week, deployment on Friday, and launch to members on Monday.
