    I'm a backend dev as a hobby.

I always listen to raw hardstyle/rawstyle. When i need ultimate concentration, I even go to the extra/brutal raw sounds :)

*imagines @linuxxx sits around all day listening to donk*

I usually listen to progressive house. Or sometimes hard rock, depending on my mood.

    Lately:
    • Disturbed
    • Amon Amarth
    • Aviators 💜
    • Erutan
    • Whatever starts playing that isn’t terrible

I really do like lowfi / “cyberpunk” / “futurepunk” if it’s decent, but I haven’t found anything decent lately. Chiptunes can be nice too, but I haven’t had any luck there either.

I go from house to trap and then japanase to english annd then future bass to metal rock sometimes I start to listen to classic, and then go listen traditional music, mostly when debugging

    TL;DR: Yes.

Artists? Celldweller, Daft Punk, maNga (although they mostly have turkish songs) and their remixes.

    Van Halen
    Shadow's Far
    Dying Fetus
    Bodyfarm
    Cattle Decapitation
    Vader
    Cytotoxin ☢️
    Sepultura
    Kataklysm
    Zeal & Ardor
    Frailty
    Satyricon
    Infected Rain
    Tiësto (old stuff)
    ...
I interpret your "back-end only" condition as you seeing front-end devs as hipsters 🤣

I deeply despise you after limiting the questionnaire to backend developers.

    RACISTS!

    D-Sturb
    Avoc
    Element
    Mish
    Rejecta
    So Juice
    Warface

So, is there a specific music for backenders?

Metal / electronic like Master Boot Record. Not solely a backend guy though, although I do it the most.

I just used to put the headset on, without playing anything so people don't bother me while I'm working. :)

Depends on the day and what I’m working on but techno, house, classical or opera.
  • 1
@raspark lol I've done that too. Just popped in my earbuds and pretended I couldn't hear anything. Overheard some conversations I probably wasn't supposed to know about that way.
