Failed in a technical interview even though i have a very good GPA :/ very sad.

Just study more for the next one. Personally I rarely get asked about school during interviews. So just go over the common algos and data structures before each one. Good luck!

You are probably better off. Technical skills change and can be learned. Good companies will recognize attitude and work ethic. They want someone who can take ownership and learn the business inside and out and apply what they have learned.
