I asked a question on StackOverflow for the first time since none of the previous answers solved my issue. Nobody is answering. Should I be scared?

Stackoverflow these days is mainly rep-whores trying to:

- Get in on the simplest questions they can answer as quickly as possible
- Cry in the comments that the simplest questions they can't answer should be closed, as they can't answer them so clearly there's not enough research effort on behalf of the OP.

The genuine experts who are interested in answering those genuinely tricky questions were mostly scared off long ago.
