kvsm6679yI like GitLab, but the fact that there is so much community and activity already on GitHub makes me stay. -
For me, it depends on what my goal is. Private or semi-private projects go on gitlab, anything which I expect to have a moderate community like e.g. a library goes on GitHub for better exposure

I was looking to self host Gitlab before, the minimum requirements to run it are absolutely insane, although it is a very full featured system. If your interested in self hosting your git repos, check out Gogs. It's a slimmed down version of Github written it go and it runs great on low spec servers. If your not looking to self host, I'd stick with Github, just based on my own personal preference.

Crost39469yGitlab is slow. The site takes ages to navigate. That alone makes me not want to use it...

Ok so I'm new to git and am wondering whether or not to move my repo's from github to gitlab, are there any major benefits to moving it?
