So.... YOURE why the rums gone...
  • 1
@ScribeOfGoD I'm always why the rum is gone, who are you kidding? πŸ˜‹πŸ₯ƒ
  • 2
No.... Tawny Port, then switch to Cognac.

    Fight me.

We won't be able to actually hit each other anyway.

It's nice that nature, through fermentation and/or distillation, provides medication for humans to treat manager-induced headaches.

    I agree.
Make it oakheart and you have me hooked forever.

February 2020, Apres Ski bar in Innsbruck, Austria.
Hot chocolate with cream and inland rum.
Best fucking day of my live.
Even better they didn't ask for ID.

I tried rum but i got sensitive nose and i find rum is the smelliest of all alcohol

whisky on the other hand has a more pleasant smell ( may be a completely subjective argument), and some fine scotch + coke, boy oh boy !! that’s where it’s at

    @Lyym ^ hehehehehehehe
  • 1
@NoMad anybody in search of a bartender? I can offer myself.

    Also, Oakheart FTW!!!
  • 1
@Lyym my point was, either @hardfault has tried some very shit rum, or the wrong mix. They probably can use your skills on that 😜
  • 2
@NoMad ah, as with almost everything I missed the point.

True@hardfault , cheap rum tends to have an excessive overly processed rubbing alcohol smell. Bacardi, DonQ, Kraken, Captain Morgan, are relatively cheap but very good quality and tend to be a bit sweeter and milder on flavor.

Try any spiced rum( from that list) with some coke and lemon, thank me later :p

@M1sf3t I have not been able to try Sailor Jerry, that's why it didn't make my list, with alcohols I mainly go by taste/experience

@M1sf3t πŸ€” if you're getting ulcers drinking rum then you might have to drink lower proofed rum. For daily I would recommend somewhere between 35-40 ABV, that usually doesn't have such an impact.

Unless of course you have pre-existing conditions like acid reflux, GERD, etc.

If you can't find the ABV clearly just take the Proofing number/2 and that will approximate the ABV volume. Another thing you can do is dilute it with a bit of water if drinking it straight, or adding mixer at a 1(alcohol): 2(mixer) ratio.

If not vodka is your friend, tends to be smoother and not fuck up your drinkways that much (but please don't buy 6€ or 6$ ones, that shit can turn on a machine with how bad it's filtered.

    I miss my rum. πŸ™

@M1sf3t πŸ€”most probably the spice mixture used for the rum aging process is making your gut upset. Usually the spices are vanilla bean, cinnamon, nutmeg, citric rinds, ginger, allspice, cloves and usually black pepper.

I think the pepper / nutmeg combo , since it's 2 really strong flavors (which give the spicy kick to it) might have caused you some reflux if you had this rum daily, and also factored in with the alcohol content it could upset the stomach pretty quick.

Try and always eat something (carbs work great) before drinking rum, the carbs will help you assimilate the alcohol faster. You won't get drunk as easily, but your stomach will thank you for it

I have never got drunk in my life, since I’m a teen so I can’t relate to half of your rants recently, @Root lmao
  • 1
@OmerFlame Lol we have one of the highest legal drinking ages but that doesn't stop people from getting drunk as teens.
  • 0
@Stuxnet I choose to abide by the rules because I would become out-of-place, feels very wrong.

I tried beer once, worst drink I’ve ever had.
  • 2
@OmerFlame beer is an acquired taste, but I agree it's disgusting.
  • 0
@Stuxnet I mean, at least make it appetizing in some way but it just tastes like something you shouldn’t drink lmao
  • 1
@OmerFlame Like I said, it's an acquired taste. It takes time to get used to it, and there's so many different ones that you gotta just find your preference.

    You'll understand one day lol
  • 0
@Stuxnet alright, I don’t know much about this so you definitely have a point.
  • 1
@OmerFlame Might I recommend rum instead? It actually tastes nice. Especially spiced rum.

    When you’re older, anyway.

If you like it, I’d recommend trying some whiskies next. Harsher, still tasty. Some are truly awful, though, fair warning.
