    It doesn't have to work, it just has to be released. Right?

    It's not always that. Sometimes you work on code that's connected to other already badly written code or libraries, and if you want to meet the deadline instead of refactoring 12 classes you have to do it.

    On the positive side, you write tests for it, it gets tested by QA and when someone gets into refactoring it its less likely it will break by accident
