Not a rant. Just how far technologie came.

on the right:
1 Episode of a new show, 4k hdr etc : 9GB

On the left:
Whole season (26 episodes) of startrek Voyager (DVD quality).

I find this pretty much fun.

DVD rips are in my book kind of okay to look at on a phone, a tablet or a small laptop and bad for everything bigger. When 4K TVs are a commodity and some are even pushing 8K, the bar raises. I personally prefer at least 1080p when possible even on my phone.

@NoToJavaScript 4K is not an advertising term. 4K is 4096 × 2160 pixels (or around this, depending on the media) while 2K is 2048 × 1080. Just thought I'd add that precision.

Hahaha, yeah The tech has come a long way. The place of Movies taken by just a single movie now. Look like time to change 1024 GB to 1024 Tb hard disk . Hahaha

Just goes to show how bad the compression algorithms are nowadays.

You'd think we'd have come up with something better by now.
