    Yeah, not really sure what he's done as a developer. He made a website in 2003 that has since become Facebook. I wouldn't call that an achievement in development. More like just being in the right place at the right time.

    @bahua Oh, and Facebook wasn't even his idea, but the one of fellow students. He stole it and even had to pay a compensation.

    @sbiewald well, not exactly...

    Microsoft invented the smartphone. IBM invented the mouse.
    But it took a smart guys with good PR to make them mainstream.

    Same thing with Mark.

    @react-guy No it was not.

    At the time of Zuckerberg in Harvard, the Winklevoss brothers hired (no idea if a written contract existed) him to create a smaller social network "Harvard connection". He accepted it, but later silently dropped it to develop Facebook.
    There even was a lawsuit which resulted in Facebook paying $20 million and 1,253,326 shares (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/... ).

    The ideas of social networks was older, of course, and I don't see a problem in a developing a "better" one and becoming successful with it.

    @sbiewald you missed my point. He didn't inventend anything, on that I think we agree.

    What he did is take an invention and push it to the masses (yes, he was at the right place at the right time, but still)

    The Winklevoss brother did nothing like that. It's unfair to not give him credit for this achievement, whether you like him or not.
    (for the record : I hate the guy)
