Employees of companies that are so protective of their intellectual property that they don't allow any to be transfered outside of the workplace, how do you work from home?

    VPN and Citrix? Which basically means you're not getting work done.

    Sideline: friends at Lockheed are checking out laptops that have all the ports disabled and no internet to WFH, going back for more every few days.

    In my case we use gotomypc with any filesharing features including copy paste is disabled. Round trip latency is around 200-300ms. It works but it's not very pleasant.

    Gotomypc, that's some epic cheapdickery right there. Those types of managers are paranoiacs; Amazon prevents theft by having a full integrated build system you have to pass through for anything to work.

    A laptop to VPN into the company network, then remote desktop to my dev machine which is in the company. Problem solved.
