We have a lot of monitoring screens on walls at my work... Some of them show charts... The one showing the last two months of mailbox database growth has started taking an odd shape.

eeh? whats the oddity?
For me, it looks like the database engine "aims" for a specific size, so it will cleanup/compress depending on size so the database size curve will be a asymptote to that particular size, eg in the end, the database size will just be a flat line.
