Everyone now works from home.. We don't even have a choice we need to work from home now.

Why does a flu during flu season scare people so much?? Honestly..

The flu itself wouldn't be scary

It's a cold, but yeah. Idk.
Ther media is over-hyping it; not sure why. My guess is political reasons.

We have no vacine or an base immunity, so it could easily kill millions.

@stop the flu does that yearly, nothing new

@stop It's usually elderly people who die from complications from Coronavirus. The "regular" flu is kind of the same, although with much larger proportions.

@Tayo most people have an base immunity or are vaccinated against the common flu. We have an herd immunity against it, but not against sars-cov-2.
We can see it when the predictions are off and the people dont get vaccibated against the flu-virus of the season, since the people have a base immunity against it, the rates jump, but not extremly like now.

if you brought even a flu to office and i got forcefully sick because of that i'd kill you

@lun0 regardless of something being the flu or not, just stay home and get back to work when you're better

Of course nobody wants the flu, but you don't see workplaces telling everyone to work from home because of it, do you? Why is this any different?

@Tayo yeah, so you just stay at home and dont attend to work if you are sick

    it is no different

From what I've heard, it does have a long (1-2 weeks) "hidden" period, where you have the virus and you are also contagious and you can give other people the virus but you do not have any symptoms.

@hanieh-m this is something which hasn't been proven just yet (afaik, correct me if I'm wrong)

The incubation period can take up to 2 weeks, but the average is 3-4 days
