Why can my password only be 20 characters for fucks sake

I usually generate pws of 70 characters and now for some reason it can't be longer than 20

I mean, realistically speaking 20 chars is still plenty against a bruteforce attack. At that point the main attack target becomes the security implementation of the service or the user's device.
Annoying? Sure. Security weakness? Not on its own.
