Are there any *performance benefits* in having your users comments on a separate page rather than the actual post/article page?
Example use-case: medium.com

    Yes, data not transmitted is data you don't have to transmit.

    Potentially a very minor improvement, as you don't need to load the article - but I can guarantee that in this day and age, that's definitely *not* the reason why these models are used (nor should it be.)

    Yes, if comments are outsourced as a separate [internal or external] services. Also, looks cleaner.
