When I'm bored in a useless meeting, I try to guess how much that meeting just cost the company for nothing.

2000 for an hour? Are you a consultant? Why is a consultant attending a meeting that doesn't pertain to them?

@AlgoRythm No, I mean the cost in total, so the salaries of all attendees, that just wasted one hour, etc.

2000$? That is a rookie number. I’ve seen an entire office gathering in a rented hall to meet new hires who’d just flown from another continent for this. Their job was unrelated to the office.
Basically, they could have sent an e-mail, saying „Hi, I’ll be your new vicechief of whatever. You probably won’t interact with me at all”.
